Carlisle Mountaineering Club is
happy to welcome new members.Anyone can 
come
along to a club meet to meet the regular members. We are a friendly bunch and appreciate how hard it is
for a newcomer to our area to make contacts and find climbing partners.
Check out our Meets by going to Evening or Day and Weekend Meets.
Unfortunately the Club is not equipped or qualified to teach rock climbing so a basic ability to rock climb is required. As long as you can display a level of competence in belaying and rope work, you can tag along. If you would like to learn about rock climbing or are not sure of your competence then contact Phil Tinning, through Ray Cassidy, for information regarding courses on a local climbing wall.
